    Airgun Maintenance

I'm sure this has been covered in other threads, but I think it would be good to combine it into one (and I'm a bit tired).

I've just bought a walnut stocked Pro-Sport. What should I put on the stock to keep it looking nice & shiny?

I read on the Air Arms website that Silicone oil should not be used on metal to metal surfaces - what sort of oil is best? What's best for wiping the metalwork over?

What do people use for cleaning the bore? I've always oiled a piece of flannelette and just pulled that through until clean. Is there a better way? Are there any off the shelf cleaning kits worth buying?

    Cheers in advance gentlemen.

3'in'1 oil for the stock, to keep it "nice and shiny".
3'in'1 oil for the metal, Put some drops onto a soft cloth and wipe it over the hole rifle, basically. Works for me and i haven't had any problems, the end result is a clean looking, shiny, sleek oiled finish, rust proof to.

i found napier gun oil very good indeed, it puts a nice shine on both blueing and stock. i did use 3 in1 with no problems. In my opinion the napier puts a nicer shine on the blueing. I was suprised the naiper 300ml spary was very economical.

You could always try Ballistol. O.K. on metalwork and woodwork.
It'll even get rid of warts.
