Recently got a Beeman p17 off here that has had a good overhaul. Its shoots well but last night on the 10m I found it to be a bit erratic i.e. (3 in the black and 2 well wayward) the majority of the time. Now it might just be me snatching the shots but I was finding it hard to get a steady POI.

My question is would there be any harm in doing a fixed zero at say 5 meters in my home using a static rest or seated position to get the sights set well and then using this at 10m standing obviously accounting for the double distance?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.
