    Rangefinders

After a few conversations at the weekend it has come to our attention that last year some shooters were spotted walking courses previous to the shoot with a rangefinder.
From now on at all UKAHFT events if anyone other than UKAHFT or hosting club course officials is found with a rangefinder on them they will be banned from UKAHFT events for life. All courses will be deemed out of bounds to non Officials before any event commences on the day of the shoot.

    Including "rangefinding" scopes?

What about the night before a few years ago, one person was found measuring the target with a tape measure,
there was nothing in the rules to say that he could not
rule bending another word for cheating

Is there no fair play clause in the rules, ie. all contestants must behave in a sopotsman like manner at all times etc? it rarely leads to people abusing the rules, and can get rid of annoying bender types

    "Bender types"?

Very interesting. However, I shall refrain from comment. (where's me fishies got to)?

there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain, and drinking largely sobers us again.

Yes including the night before as there should be no reason what so ever for a shooter to have a rangefinder on them and anyone caught measuring targets in any shape or form will be out.

And i'm not even going to answer the scope question!!!

I am sorry to hear that this has become necessary.

Another vote here for the "sportsmanship" clause.

To be honest the "Sportsmanship" clause should go without saying.

We are not going to take any **** this year from anyone and if anyone doing something that is not deemed "In the spirit of the game" will be told in the rules or not and if they don't like it or continue they can go and find something else to do on the weekends.

And this goes for anyone nobody is "Above the Law" and we mean nobody.

    That's reassuring to hear Sparky.
Cheating should have no place in HFT

If no one's said it yet, Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into this series.
