ill be honest,
Its not awkward nor is it unnatural. Im glad im not the only one that shoots this way.
I am scoring low-mid 80s (per 10 shots) which for someone who has been shooting a short period of time cant be bad?
ill keep plodding on and worry more about technique i think.
thanks

Hi, I have been in the same situation due to astigmatism in my dominant right eye. I tried shooting with my left as I did get a better sight picture, but have found a solution by using a black eye blinder for my left eye and a pin hole for my right.
This has now given me a sight picture of a sharp black circle and sharp front and rear sights, my eyes are relaxed and I don't need to struggle to keep focused.
Being a tight git, I used an old pair of cycling glasses and some 0.5mm black plastic card from a model shop, paper is no good to get a clean hole, (fnarr), as I used a 1.5mm drill to make the pin hole. This still allows enough light in to see everything.
When I get into the Olympic team, I may then invest in some proper gear....
Cheers, Mark.
