    Interesting pellets

    I picked these up with the miniature pistols.

    Lincoln Jeffries pellets full of origional pellets.

    Bulldog pellets unopened.

    Wasp's opened but full.

    Wasp boxes made in Australia.

    Webley box half full.

    Witton opened but full.

    Some of these are very rare I've never seen the Lincoln Jeffries, Witton or Australian Wasps before.

    This collecting is getting a bit obsessive but so very interesting.

    Link below hopefully

    +++++++++++++ 110%

    ATB (you lucky git!),

    I do have a box of "sting" 5.6 pellets by Ballantine (Aus) which look very similar to the Wasps you have, right down to the lettering, will dig them out for comparison.

    John Atkins has examples of all the pellets shown, and points out that the 'Wasp' packs sold in Australia and New Zealand were different to those sold in the UK, as were the packs of 'Black Boy' sold at the time. They would have been made by ICI Industries of Australia and New Zealand to save on shipping heavy lead pellets to the colonies.
    John's pack of L.J. Match (previously in the Mark Newcomer Collection) also has the Steelhouse Lane address number scratched off, as does the pack belonging to another renowned collector.
    John's identical red and green pack of 'Witton' pellets came with a cased pistol, and he only knows of about five examples, so they would appear to be exceptionally scarce.

    Wow, fantastic! Some collectors would have gone for these, with the miniatures thrown in!

    Interesting to see the fore end attachment to the shotgun depicted on the Lincoln pellet packet. The pistol type attachment is described in the latest edition of the John Knibbs "Lincoln Jeffries & BSA Air Rifles" book. This is the same image pressed into the side of Lincoln airgun stocks and also used on his letterheads.

    Hi, found the sting box, so you can see the similarity;

    I would say the pellets are not as well formed as 70's / 80's wasp ones.

    It would look nice next to your Wasp box as a variation, tell you what, if you pay for the postage, and throw in that tatty old Lincoln box, I will do a swap

    Well there is a box of .22 pellets on E-Bay 370778172350 so you might be able to get the price of the pistol back.
