Webley Alecto Popping & Venting

Hello all, I have recently bought a Webley Alecto, Can anyone tell me if a popping noise is normal, it has recently started when I go to cock the gun, also I have noticed it venting air on the 1st pump is this normal? Thanks

yes i think it must be ,mine vents and pops air after i have shot the gun.not while pumping though,but i have mine tuned.

glad to hear it is normal, think I have over oiled it seems to be going more pellets i fire through it , great little gun
