I use Pistal for keeping the bugs off my tomatoes in the green house.
You can get it in 200ml pump sprays or if your feeling flush get a litre bottle and dilute it yourself.

Go to the place where they have the 'pistal rang' and see what the others are shooting?

    Hi Gav

I should talk to the people at the range

At Lea Valley, the commonest pistol for HFT is proabaly a Brocock PCP .177 - they put out about 5.5 ft/pounds so are ideal for work out to 25 yards. Others include HW45s, Falcons, Crossman 1377s, the occasional Steyr LP10 or LP5 ...so something that can get over 4 ft/lbs is the preference

Something like an HW40 is accurate close to, but at around 2.2-2.5 ft/lbs will run out of steam a bit (and probably accuracy) for the longer shots.

    It's great fun!

    Jon
