I have been trying out, on loan,a Mark 6 Airsporter 1979/83. GL23454.
Owner thought it was a Mk 5 so I looked at the parts plan for that but off course they were not the right ones.

Discovered some interesting things as I do not have a manual.......any available ?

Firstly having tried a small number of .22 pellets it liked H&N FTT.
The BBS recommends Superdomes so I bought some.
Wow ! They shoot really well giving a about a half cm group at 15 yards with original open sights .Very pleased as one does not know if barrel is 5.6mm or 5.5mm

Discovered front sight is vertically adjustable and can be inverted from a bead to a flat blade.
Also rear sight from square to vee.
Only just noticed this morning that rear sight windage actually states L or R. Reminder self to put glasses on !

So 55 years after lusting after an Airsporter but at the time enjoying the Mark 1 Meteor I was given, I have discovered the delights of this model.
Good also to get familiar with a springer again
