Help ID an old Rifle

Hi I'm trying to ID an old rifle i had as a kid so I can see if i can bring new life to it.
It's a El Gamo rifle in .22 springer probably about twenty years old. Trying to locate some parts so i can restore it to it's former glory.

Hi, been looking at exploded diagrams on T.W Chambers looks like it could be the ASI Sniper.

Looking at it in my John Walter airgun book.. Lifted the followingtext:

OO Modelo Expo or 200 (Asl sniper

The handy, well-balanced Expo 200. widely

distributed outside Spain, was developed in

the 1960s. t offers reasonable quality at

low cost, though is not especially
it is
sophisticated. The cocking lever is

articulated, the trigger a rather coarse two-

stage design adjustable for travel but not

pull weight which is set at 7-11b

(3-5kg).The micro-adjustable open-notch

spring leaf back sight, complementing the

hooded blade, is controlled by very clearly

graduated plastic discs. The beech stock

displays good external finish but less

impressive netting, newer stocks have a

cheekpiece, in addition to the black plastic

butt-plate, and a plain rather than grooved

fore-end. The trigger guard is an

unattractive moulding and the trigger

Lever-a light stamping lies rather far

forward of the pistol grip for the small-

handed or short-fingered marksman. Type,

break-barrel spring-air rifle, detent-locked

bolt); c, R4; ca, 4.5/0.177 or 5.5/0.22,

Hi,

It's not a Sniper which was a completely different looking (I am being polite) air rifle. I can remember being asked to repair a Sniper in '73 or '74 and refusing after stripping it down. I think this was part of the range and so it dates from the late 60's. or early 70's.

It looks like a sniper to me..I had one when I was 13, my first air rifle.

They were still making the sniper in the late 70s I remember seeing them in the ads in AGW,my money's still on it being a sniper.

From memory I'd hazard a guess at it being a Sniper, too.

Thanks for all the posts from the diagrams and pics I've seen I'd say it's a sniper/expo so I'll be ordering parts for it. New spring breech seal and piston seal. Already sanded the stock ready for a new coat of varnish. Should have good as new shortly.

Well, to this old git the botom one of the four shown in someone's photo is a Sniper. I've spent some time looking for ASI's files but guess I threw them out, because I'm sure I had a 4 page brochure showing it as a Sniper...

Hi, just wondering if anyone has ever replaced a piston seal on a sniper i ordered one from Chambers and it's a little different to the old one. Heres a pic of the two.
