There's a mini Cannon comp on at Wedgnock tomorrow, I'm going to pop down (that will be 3 days in a row at the range ) already been looking at the .50 Ardessa kits on Kranks website & I think tomorrow might push me over the edge for a variation
I am quite certain that the argument you've already won in your head was entirely more satisfying to you than the one that is actually occurring.

    Hi,
    This might be of interest.

    http://www.militaryrifles.com/belgium/Albini.htm

edit:- If you want to strip the rifle DO NOT undo the bolt that goes through the wood that has a large washer on either side. It does not hold the barrel in place and is only there to support the wood at the breech.
The base plug is pinned. This must be removed before it can be extracted.
The barrel/action is a hook breech and can be removed after the barrel bands have been removed. Don't forget to pull the hammer back to full cock first so the locking/firing pin is clear of the breech.

Well, as of right now I'm not able to buy a SHOOTING BP anything, but as an avid shooter of Swiss schtuff I'd like to find a top-rate M1878 Vetterli, with a view to flonging off a gun that I rarely use [fat chance, that] and converting it to centre-fire.

Apart from a beautiful but VERY sad de-act, I've not seen one around that is good enough for my rather high standard requirement, so, if anyone here knows any better, I'd be really happy to hear from you about it.
