Doh, I seem to have lost touch.
Interested in one of these guns, but specifically, it must be the type with the grip chequering that is two-pointed rather than single pointed, if that makes sense - i.e. the top of the chequering is a V shape not an arrowhead shape...
Would this be the Challenger? The pics of the Mercury S I can see have the arrowhead pointy chequering.

I'de say Challenger but there was a few Mercs about with the Challenger style stock.
Most of the Merc "S" where Walnut but the later ones seemed to be the Challenger style as they are Beech, whether it's a cheaper option for BSA or a transitional stage into the Challenger, I'm not sure.
