New on here and new TFW

Hi all, new to this forum...I couldn't find the 'introductions' thread so thought I may as well say that in the pistols thread and show you my Tanfoglio 1911 while I'm at it! Recently got this, and I must say it's great fun, although I do seem to have problems with it jamming quite often. Anyway I attacked it with my Dremel a few days ago, and polished the frame, barrel and ejection port, oh and the barrel bushing. I'm really pleased how it turned out and I think it looks better than the usual polished slide that most people seem to do...

Welcome to the forum. Nice job on the TFW. My TFW had a few hangups when new but with use its smoothed out and runs fine for now. A little lubing, oil on every other co2, and silicon oil on plastic bits will help break in this fine fun gun. ATB. Pete.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I managed to discover why my pistol keeps jamming up so badly...there is a lot of vertical play in the magazine. I discovered when i pushed up the bottom of the mag and fired it, I didn't get a single jam. So either the safety catch is worn, or the notch on the mag is.
