I missed an important HFT competition Sunday as I overslept slightly

I missed an important HFT competition Sunday,( sorry Andy) as I overslept slightly and didn't fancy the barraking anyway, i knew as a club we were doomed. Also my dog is on heat and accompanies me everywhere She's a beast!.... Anyhow decided to go Dog-ing in the afternoon haven't been much lately as my little (wood) is just plagued by midges and mosquitoes.

So the result was 3 rabbits one of which the dog got to before I could pick it up,so I guessed what this would look like inside when I gutted it
{Obviously you didn't hit anything John, so all i can say is roadkill is messy..LEAVE IT

Now I have skinned and gutted hundreds (yeah!) of rabbits over the years made them into stews curries and dog food,but gutting these three and the dog crunched one with it's expected internal mess just put me right off Hunting,can't really explain why after all these years.

So tomorrow I am going to trade my pcp in for a new springer,I get bored with pcp's very easily and just concentrate on the HFT for the rest of the year. {That should help the Buxted push ...now that made me spill my coffee and my side hurts..just wish i could see Andy's ugly mug when he reads this...still laughing...come back Gary before it all goes belly up...

I may come back to hunting,but for the foreseeable future I don't want to see the inside of a rabbit

Don't worry John think its a great idea at least you will still be far more technically advanced than the rest of the team using a springer(apart from Sam the machine) as we are still all using catapults as the scores prove.

Just remember SiHFT is a social event for us not a competition.

Gonna have to stick to the pcp for a while,got to concentrate on getting the car mot'd and taxed.

Can't do any shooting without a motor.

And yes my HFT shooting certainly needs to be more social,haven't enjoyed it so much of late, need more home shoots and coffee making facilities
