Thumbs down Logun Penetrators with Falcon FN12TW

Here's the result of a little comparative grouping I did today:-

    http://photos.fotango.com/p/eba00373029f00000008.jpg

Nothing special about my shooting today - sometimes I'm better than this and occasionally worse- I just threw down the mat in the garden, wound me arm into the sling and plinked away before the clouds came over.

If you can't read my scrawl, it's 40 (longish) paces prone unsupported, with sling.

I think it's clear that only the Accupell would be fit to go after the bunnies with - it's a good 1" group even with the flyer.

But neither of the others is very good IMHO. With the Penetrators you can see that at least 3 of the 5 have hit the paper at a significant angle - not quite as bad as the 'old oildrum through river-rapids' effect when watching those earlier tin pellets (can't remember their name) wander towards the target, but still nowhere near what they should be.

Does anybody get good accuracy with these?

    Regards,
    MikB

The accupells group looks good considering the longish range. Got a couple of groups using a 0.22 S10 mk1 with a 4x40 scope shot indoors from a bench. Both groups are 10 shots at 25 yards using JSB Exacts 5.52 and RWS Super H-points, grouping within 18mm circles (1 flyer with the RWS SHP). Don't really recommend a 4x40 scope when trying to shoot small groups.

When we do pellet tests we use a Firing Bench with Action bolted down
So it down to the pellet and gun

We also test other pellets as and when they come on the market to check out possible competition

Not forgetting that All guns are hand finsihed

Although No longer in pellet buisness , still assist Hugh in his Trials

It doesn't matter what you do about bolting guns down, it's plain for anyone to see that three of those Penetrators arrived on the skew. They were not stabilised.

    Penetrators

Worl well in .177 in my Harrier X, at least as good as jsb 4.52 right out to 50+ yards, they fly all ove the place out of the pro sport and HW95 though, is it the difference between pcp and springer, or could it just be the barrels,( which I believe are both Lothar on harrier and pro sport?).

    No Exterminators are Lead
    But using the Dynamic Shape

Exterminators are now made exclusivly for Loguns and sold as Penetrators

Tried selling them Direct to Shooters
But now let Loguns market them
Understand that they are going well @ home and overseas

Aware that Pax Guns are working well keeping up the supplies
