Yes you can, there are two different models available ,one is a powerful vintage collectors item that shoots .22 lead pellets called the Schimel, here.. http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Air-Pistols...-gs155734.aspx and the other is a currently available new replica that fires steel .177 BB's by Umarex.A review of it here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XkqURQ8Oh4

As an alternative and inspired by the Luger, though a Co2 rendition of a Ruger pistol is the Crosman MK1 in .22 and MK2 in .177 these are vintage pistols and like the Schimel command a higher price. Link here, http://my.tbaytel.net/coopers/CrosMkI/review.html

I have the Umarex version. its nice to look at but not the most accurate thing in the world. good fun knocking down tin can however. i bought mine from a german shop and they delivered direct to my door. all for under a £90!

Link to the shop - www.versandhaus-schneider.de.

    Cheers

ASG also make a Luger and I have seen one made with original Erma parts but sadly I do not know the brand.

I think both are in 6mm and both are blowback, the Erma one I handled was very authentic (it might be that both pistols are the same).
Great Deals with : Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich

Don't you need to be VCRA registered to be able to buy one of those ?

Due to higher power they are classed as Airguns.

    Solware sell them http://www.solware.co.uk/air-pistol-...-AIRSOFT.shtml

Let me get this right if is low powered[ under i jl] you need to be VCRA registered and the gun painted orange. But if is high powered over 1jl] you can just buy it with the real gun colour. Can anyone explain this?

It's its under 1 joule it's an imitation of a firearm so needs to be painted so as not to be confused with real firearm unless you have a defence Nader VCRA.

But and here's the crazy bit, if its more powerful but less than 6ftlbs it's not an imitation firearm...because its a real firearm and we are allowed airpisrols under 6ftlbs.

Crazy but don't complain or they might stop us having them as well

Didn't realise that green gas could deliver that amount of power. I thought it would only be about 0.7 joule, particularly as it does blow back.
