    Pre war air rifles

I cleared a friends garage out and came across 2 pre war air rifles
i know now that one is a diana model 1 (junior) must be 1913-1940

The other is a bsa i think cant find any markings but all parts have the same number stamped on them both are .177
the bsa? Has no forward stock apparently built like that
they both work fine but in need of some tlc
    any ideas?
    Thanks in anticipation....T

    Hello,

Accurate identification is not really possible without a picture or two. As you correctly say, all pre-war BSA air rifles were made without wooden fore ends. If the air rifle has an underlever cocking system together with a bayonet or so called "duckbill" shaped end or if it has a "sidelatch" lever release mechanism it will be 1904-1914. If it has a button type release at the end of the cocking lever, it will be one of the various BSA models made between the wars.

If the rifle is a 'Break barrel' it will again have been manufactured between the wars.

Dimensions would help to narrow things down if you are unable to post a link to some pictures.

    Hope this helps.
