    Can't go wrong with a Hawke Vantage 6x24-50. Great company with no quibble warranty work if needed.

    For £300 you should be able to get a good 2nd hand Nikko Sterling Diamond 10-50x60 Mk1 (black turrets) or even a Mk2 (green turrets). These are proven pedigree FT scopes, used by FT world champions (Jack Harris won 2016 and 2017 world FT chps with the big Nikko).

    I have two Hawke Vantage SF 6-24x44's. I only shoot them on springers and mostly over 100 metres. Very sturdy scopes with glass as good as the Sidewinders.

    Of the 18 shooters for our next 100 metres spring match 5 shooters use this exact scope. Including the champion of 2017.
