It is a haenal which is very similar to the early Diana 27 pattern but this thing looks like it should be going off to the local scrap yard much less an auction.Mick I have two different ones, an export version with trigger block like a BSA and one similar to the one auctioned. They both have identical barrel locks.

has a [dianawerk] -style hand to stock and so like the german service rifle mod.gewehr 98-;if it is indeed a [haenel] would love to have this in the gunroom for a loving restoration if dough to spare;make a fine crimble pressie for ssomeone if not myself..first thought it was the [original V] which was briefly resurrected by [milbro]and called the "foreign";also perhaps a fritz langenhann (zella mehlis) rarity as he was first to perfect the straight cocking-arm and some pattern detent sans latch I believe but evidence of this last part must indeed point to [haenel] or "marco".regards.
