Can't get it out here.
Is there any readily available substitute?
Will a decent quality mineral gun oil do the job?
What gives the Crosman stuff its red colouring?

I wish I was in the land of cotton.
They reckon it's special seal lubing goodness that gives it that pink colour - the truth of it I do not know.
I have read that a non-detergent light oil (nd30) is basically what it is - the kind of oil you get for lawn mowers.
Same as red automatic transmission fluid

Yes, same as automatic gearbox oil, which looks, feels and tastes the same - does the same job at a fraction of the price
I bought a big bottle ages ago - I expect that it will last me till I pass over to the other side
Steady Ian.
