    Weblet Mark 3 rifle.

    Thanks for the information provided before about my mark 3.

    What I did do was forget to ask its age. There is a serial number on the underlever arm

    It is A8057

    Can anyone tell me roughly when it was made please?

    Hello,

    Chris Thrale's Webley Air Rifles book tells us that the A pre-fix was used twice by Webley with A8057 first dating to 1st March 1969 all except the first batch being in .177 calibre. However, A8057 appears again in January1972 this time all in .22 calibre. So you can probably deduce the actual manufacture date for your rifle from its calibre.

    As Brian said of the week commencing 01/03/69 batch only A8001/2/3 were .22 the rest .177 so not much doubt there.
