Smile Cambridge HFT results Oct. 27th 2013

A gloriously bright and sunny autumnal morning greeted the happy throng of shooters today.
    Oh yes, and the wind.
Proper wind. The sort of wind that, if you caught it right, could make your pellet do gravity defying antics hitherto only seen in the “Matrix”.
Whichever woods you started in, I guarantee the one you finished in was the worst as leaves rained down and twigs and a few branches started swaying with alarming enthusiasm. I swear there were more sheets of corrugated iron by the chipper when we went into the top woods than when we came out.
With the infamous “lollypop” targets out at 45 yards this was always going to be a grimace-and-hope course, but a few brave (lucky) souls came out remarkably well. Our hats go off to Stu Deeks with his superb *50* and Becky Rawlings with *46*, - winning the juniors and potentially coming joint 4th overall.
Our next club shoot is Sunday Nov.10th. Hopefully we’ll see you all back again.
And hopefully we’ll still have some woods…
