    Reloading 12 gauge slug information

    Hi all
Looking for information on reloading 12 gauge slug shells
    Need info on:-

What powders to use, and what weight of powder you use?
What wads to use and best ones to use, and where to buy?
Which slug mould is best to use?
What things to avoid when loading such ammo?
Can used cartridges be unitised for reloading slug shells?

    Thanks in advance Dougie

I used clays internationl powder with Lee 1 oz slug, plas wads you have to find
one with thin walls and no ribs in, so when you push the slug in, it does not
buldge the case. My normal load was 19grs of powder.
Used cases work well, some better than others.
Hand loading worked better for me, than machine.
you could also try brass cases from Midway UK.
Its been a couple of years since i last loaded slug.

    Hope this helps.

I use a Lee 1oz slug mould, Red Dot or Herco and used Magtech shells/cases/hulls.
It's been a long time since I loaded any but 18grains of Red Dot rings a bell! They cycled perfectly in my semi-auto and were quite accurate at up to 50 metres (with just a nipple for a sight ).
The felt wads came from Kranks, they were £4 for 250 so that'll give you some idea how long ago it was

    Good luck

I use the 1 oz Lee mould.
    18.5gn Red Dot
I use a roll crimper that goes in a cordless drill
I got plastic wads and cases in bulk from a friend who sells them

Fantastic and a lovely load to shoot
