    Silencer adaptor for umarex 1911a1

Is there a silencer/moderator adaptor that fill fit the umarex 1911? I took delivery of a 1911 yesterday but conscious about disturbing my neighbours or making them nervous when I plink in the back garden. If I can reduce the noise level just a bit then its worth trying one.

Versandhaus schneider (german web shop) sell one, but the fixed uk postage of £16/£17 would be prohibitive for one small item - worth it if you can build an order up though.

Thanks for your replies.Magic9 may be a possibility though are a bit costly just for an adaptor. Anyone else have a suggestion?

If you want a quality job, go for one of Nick's M9D ones. The price also icludes the threading, so it is really pretty good value for the price (£20 at cheapest). The adaptor will be rock solid if my S&W adaptor from Nick is anything to go by. The cheapo ones you see for CP88s etc are in no way as secure as they only attach by one screw at the base making them liable to "mod droop" especially with a non-delrin mod.

Personally, I'm slightly kicking myself for not having had my 1911 done when it was in with Nick for a tune and some blingy bits...

As far as i know there's only two available M9D's one and this one http://www.sportwaffen-schneider.de/...ducts_id/27689

I've got the sportwaffen one on one of my 1911's and it does the job. For the money your better off with the M9D one

Thanks for your replies. I have contacted Nick at magic9 and sent the part he requires to be threaded. I was tempted to get the CP88 adaptor however from what Nick told me these are not that stable.

    magic9 umarex 1911 silencer adaptor

Update- well just got the muzzle end back from Nick which I only sent out to him five days ago. It's now been threaded and came with an adaptor .I've just put the pistol back together and used it with a silencer taken from my 1377.The difference in terms of noise reduction was considerable. Very pleased with the result. I Would definitely recommend Nick for his workmanship. I just need to find a silencer with a diameter of 23mm or less because although I can see the foresight blade with silencer attached the sight picture isn't quite good enough for me.
Thanks once again for your help.
