Smooth Bored percussion rifle replica for sale in firearms section.

Lots of cheap fun for somebody. Surprisingly accurate with PRB at 50 metres!

If it's a smoothie, you need to change the name to musket. Smoothbore means it sure ain't any kind of a rifle.

Tac, its a replica of the 1863 Remington Contract Rifle, which we usually term a rifled musket for arms in that period as you know.

It is a smooth bored replica though, so we might call that a musket although of course it isn't a replica of a musket. Mainly semantics really.

First outing today with the musket , first time shooting a muzzle loader . I borrowed some BP off of a friend and had nine shots . bright and sunny conditions but blowing a strong wind across the range .
Distance was 50 yds with 60 gns of powder . First shot was off target to the left then the next 3 to the left then I was aiming off to the right , the vertical string was 10 inchs apart from the bottom shot to the top , I had great fun with it , looking forward to the next outing . Dave

Lots of tears in the paper due to number of staples required to stop it ripping off of the board in the high winds .

It looked as though they had two separate bayonets listed for that rifle - I'm sure that can't be right....
