Changes you would like to see to popular production rifles?

    My preferences would be for:

1.Thicker barrel blanks, or perhaps a barrel shroud, on AA S400 rifles - purely for aesthetic reasons.

    2. Conventional bolt cocking on the BSA Hornet.

    3. An ABS stock on the Theoben MFR, to make it more resistant to damage.

What changes, if any, would you like to see to your favourite guns?

Metal bolt as standard on S200
A Magazine release that can't rub against the barrel on the RWS Excalibre

And some things I'd like to see standardised on PCPs (where applicable)

Barrels threaded for 1/2" UNF or fitted with a 1/2" UNF adaptor as standard for easy silencer fitment.
A universal charging adaptor for fixed cylinders. The probe type used by FX airguns would be ideal.
    BSA Airsporter RB2 - Tasco 3-9x40
RWS Excalibre carbine .22 - Tasco Varmint 6-24x42
    Air Arms S200 .177 - HTH 721 NV
    Bakail Makarov .177bb

there's only one safety catch in my books!

    thats the mark 1 forefinger!

if i had my way i'd make safety catches illegal!

discipline and weapon status are the name of the game here!

if you cant declare your weapons status you shouldnt be in possesion of it!!!

the moral of the story is

'BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS EMPTY'!

havn't you noticed how every single accident occured cos the operator 'thought' it was empty!

remember 99.9 % off all accidents occur with a 'empty' weapon

good luck and safe shooting, better to check it 100 times too many than once not enough!

here, here. Or at least a no-extra option for left handed shooters, there are loads of us!
Universal fillers would also be a nice sensible thing to have as well.

    S200

    • I like the 2 piece stock (yeah I'm odd, it won't be the first time I've heard that! ) Fore-end the same as it is but the butt-stock redesigned to be worthy of the action and barrel it surrounds...oh and both the fore-end and butt-stock in walnut.
    • Replace the current trigger with the S4x0 trigger unit
    • Pre-fitted QD studs (I'm sure AA can do a better job than I did )

Not keen on the design of the underlever on the Air Arms Pro-Sport. I expect it has to be alloy to keep the balance and weight right, but it would be nicer black. It also looks a bit unfinished - it would look better a bit more sculpted.
