Dave Parry is an idiot HW77/97 bits on the 'bay

Was just having a quick peruse on the evil of bay......

I remember a few weeks ago that someone posted up that he was doing HW80 buttoned pistons and could do short stroke ones.

Just spotted that he's now doing piston and compression cylinders for the HW77/97. Buttoned and the piston has rear bearing that runs on inside of main cylinder, LGV/TX stylee.

Not in the market or anything, but anyone know much about him/used any of his stuff?

It's his user name on the 'bay, not a title I've just dreamt up for him!

    Have a look.

I had a we look if the pictures and the description are true and his tolerances are what he says
It could be a nice piece of kit.
Im not sure about price though £100 us your piston then he recommends his spring kit
It would work out say £150 to £160 if you give steve pope your piston you could get a full vglide
    Piston for £200
Does anyone know if you get a spring kit with your vglide piston.

It would be interesting if someone bought one of these pistons and spring kits
And compared it to a vglide and also a Welsh willy tti piston and spring kit its £180
    For both parts.

I hope bigtoe or wonky donky have an opinion on this piston and its mods
Would they do similar if they were tuning a 77 97.
    Cheers
    David

    pistons to heavy imo

Design is ok, its much like a Vglide, LGV/TX piston, the issue is its adding weight to a piston thats already to heavy.

He quite openly said in one of his videos he got the idea & details from Bigtoe01 (Tonys) airgun blog.

Ive done all that plus more to my HW80, ask TonyL.

If you want more on this guy then go onto Youtube and look at work done by 'how its done'.

Disturbingly you occasionally get a glance of his naked belly complete with belly wig.

    Here's a sample ...

    how its done

I was wondering if his user name related to his videos all being shot in narrow screen?

I just wish all YouTube uploaders would put more thought into how they hold their camera phones and how it makes them look stupid if they hold the phone the wrong way up

    Professional rant over

    Cheers

The V-Mach V-Glide tune kit is a complete tuning kit, you get the cylinder ,piston ,spring, top hat and spring guide. You can also send the trigger block/cylinder end to Steve to machine and supply a guide that locks into the into the trigger block.
