Hi. Range for what? A clean kill when hunting or plinking at a tin can? Assuming you've found decent pellets that it likes, the maximum range for hunting will be about 35 yards or so, assuming you can consistently print around half inch groupings at that range

The pellet could potentially travel about 400M.

I would say around 35-40 yds max for a kill and for target shooting upto 55yds. Cant understand when people say they get clean kills at 60-70 yrds with a sub 12ftlb rifle!!

It is possaible, just not worth the risk of leaving an animal running/flying around with a pellet in it, to die a slow death. I shoot targets out to 60/70 yards and the damage a .20 pellet does to a tin can, would I'm sure, kill a rabbit or bird, with a clean head shot. However, as I can't guarentee a clean head shot at that range, I don't take them.
