    Hi Phil,

You are not that late - and you only just received your target pack !

Well done for making the effort but there really is not that much of a rush as this is a relaxed fun competition and we are still hoping others will join the competition now (and as we go along) so the idea is to encourage newcomers to join late as they can be sure they will not be under any pressure to catch up - only to do so in their own time so they can get up to date without any undue stress.

As a matter of interest the smaller ( much smaller!) .22 class has had the best results return rate experienced in any of the the MPL postal competitions so far! With your scores submitted so quickly we now have 6 out of 6 results in the bag - a 100% return

We just need a few more .22 shooters to join in the fun!

The .22 class should be the one with the most level playing field and so it should be the class with the most appeal from that point of view.

Firstly there is a much smaller choice of .22 air pistols to choose from, and secondly there are no spring powered recoilless air pistols so it very much evens things up for everybody !

could you send them again to <6ydmpl@gmail.com> without the <> .
Anyone else who has sent in scores and do not see them appear in the resuls on this thread please send them again to the above email address. I update the scores quite quickly so you should see them pop up within the day you sent them.

Hi George, That's a bit odd... I've just forwarded it to the address above, but it was correct the first time (sent 21:18 yesterday) - so you might want to check your junk folder or something!?

Ah, thank you George - and thanks for your kind email

I hope it's not too pedantic to point out that my pistol for the .177 MPL is an IZH46 (not the newer 46M).

    Hi all 6yd MPL people
Don't be shy send me your January scores even if you think they are carp! we are a fun bunch and who cares - just you - it will give you a target to aim for for feb. Goodness if you are shooting out of doors and waiting for a calm spell to shoot those cards you may have to wait for ever the way the wind is blowing here in Dover at this time in the morning - we sailors say the wind goes down with the sun huh!!! Just been practicing with my wife - blow getting the right pellet, holdover, trigger release, stance, sight picture, breathing. I've found the answer to better scores..... tell you later and it is printable.

    Get those scores in

    Best cheers

    Hi MPL pistol shooters

Do not be shy, send me those scores even if you could have done better by thowing stones at the card - who cares it is only fun and it will give you something to annoy you and make you find ways to better it next time.Perhaps using your pistol more or try out other pistols and if this happens the comp will be doing exactly what it set out to do. But if you are shooting in your garden I guess I'll be wating a while for better weather!!!!!

hi george, like you say the weather is proving a problem for us back garden shooters so i took it inside ;the larder door is the backstop ,a step ladder the shelf for the target stand and the 6yd mark is the profile edge between the kitchen floor tiles and the hall parquet flooring ,very convenient.
waiting for everyone to finish in the kitchen is a pain but worth while as having to wait for the wind to drop or trying to catch the damn cat and lock it in the house is more so.

Can I just remind everybody that the

    6ympl@classicapa.com

email address is not the address for submitting scores to.

Unfortunately, due to the many other things I have on at the moment, I won't be able to forward any scores received at this on.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

If you keep this up for 3 months you will be untouchable by us lot, in four months you could be looking at GB squad selection! Joking aside it's good when the scores go the right way after focusing on training, but sooo depressing when it slips!

anyone out there scared off by Bob?

I am so frightened I cannot bring myself to look at red bob's scores anymore - its my own way of avoiding total disappointment with my own lack of 6 yard progress.

March Scores comming in and most are improving which is great.

It was going to happen sometime, my wife beat me when it mattered! We have been shooting a lot and are reading all there is to read about the sport as well as getting some top class advice on the way to go in this absorbing sport (thanks robin you are a star). We never moved out sights and just left them be and lived with movement but not any more. My wife moves hers quite a bit now and infact moved them three times yesterday over 30 shots and is now using an aiming mark that is quite low to get away from the distraction of the black, I have been down there for a while. The fwb 65 punishes me big time if I release when the gun is shaking as the recoile and shake semm to add together to create a resonance and a flyer is the product. The fwb demands stillness and the touch of a baby on the trigger. When it goes right it is superb but get it a little wrong and it rubs my nose in it!!

    Best cheers
    George
