    Device for carrying rabbits

Does anybody know of a device for carrying rabbits. I am getting about 5 rabbits on average during a shoot and its a pain carrying them back to the car in one hand. They really do make you arm almost fall off.

Is there some kind of pocket sized carrier I could use, or even a fancy knot I could tie into string to throw round the rabbits feet?

You know about the legging trick, right? So, once you have them all legged like that, you can attach them to just about anything - the strap of whatever you're carrying anyway, a string, whatever.

    I use a wheelbarrow, but I guess I'm just a brilliant shot..!

legging thing as mentioned above is what I find easiest, I've always known it as "hocking" the rabbit..... maybe my brother made the word up when he showed me how to do it.
Put simply, very carefully cut through the thin flap of skin between what I reckon is the achiles tendon and the bone of one of the back legs (the rabbits not yours ) once you have your slit poke the other leg through and then you can thread it onto string or whatever, I hang mine on barb wire to collect on the way back where possible.
hopefully helpful to someone if not yourself.
    All the best

I use a simple bit of cord, made into a loop big enough to go over my shoulder with a foot long tail of cord. I then just use a simple slip not to hold the feet or the head, works effectively, no cutting no bags etc.

I do have a game bag however I have found that if I take it out with me never see a single rabbit, leave it at home, the place is overrun.

I stash them till i've finished shooting then leg them and thread them onto a stick then carry it over the shoulder.

Yeah, reckon a simple bit of string would be best. My shoot is fairly spread out so I carry the spoils of my hunt with me around the shoot. I'm thinking a simple loop of string in my pocket and I can tie clove hitches in the loop to put round the rear legs of each bunny. I'll give it a go.

yep hocking the rear legs is the best way IMO.
