    Many thanks!

The story was about a turbulent period of life. The airguns were incidental, but, were an important platform within the context of an airgun forum to keep interest going and provided an opportunity to tell the story; the one and only time I will ever write such a tale. I am not a writer and was never interested in literature; the sciences and engineering appealed more. The story took on a relevant mind of it’s own as it progressed…..

It is a story of deeper meaning and hides behind a farce….It were about a married and powerful, very sexy woman who was irresistible. There are lies, deceit, alcohol, cheating, attraction, eroticism, unfaithfulness, pain, confusion, temptation, laughter, blackmail and disappointment. Twisting and turning, with a tragic death by poisoning……

Breaking free of the initial period of troubled turmoil, six months later, life was innocently fresh and wonderful again. The coincidental (?) and chance meeting of the lustful temptress…, she was too much to resist, common sense was trumped by an unknown future..……

    Best regards to all.

Off topic, but circa 30 years ago I was driving through a Spanish village and swear that there was an Hispano-Suiza in a farm yard with hens in it, current day renovated price would be off the scale, possibly over £1 million.

that was great SRV1.. why not approach the mags for a column.. or maybe we could piece together the outlines of a major new airgun themed soap opera, where sexy characters intermingle pellets and shoot each others guns, christmas time we could have a huge scandal and the death of a much loved character, who miraculously returns later in the new year with a mint 'boxed' girandoni with spare reservoirs and a ludicrous tale of how they came across it...

And perhaps there'd be a character who argued with everyone and another who lived in the north and supported the most socialist of causes. And another who sprang to the defence of any 7th century religion. And perhaps it could all build up to a crashing crescendo when finally the truth could be revealed - is .177 better than .22!

Or perhaps not. Some things are better kept secret.

And how could such characters possibly be believable?
