    Pedants Delight

Have a look at this; http://cgi./ws/eBayISAPI.d...160854272&rd=1

Really astoundingly good value considering you get a top-notch composer, albeit a dead one, to carry your kit around for you.

I'd much prefer one made by Bate, Bait, Bitehoffen. Sod it Ravel.

I think they are made by JS Bach, whose name was anglicised to 'Rowan Bark'- he subsequently gave this name to an early form of camouflage; the cases are only carried by Handel who proved quite useless with a needle and thread.
    Yours informatively, Jon.

Trouble with Elgar was that he wasn't a steady bloke (varied a lot ) and anyway he was a bit of an enigma !

No; it's shorthand for "pedants delight in nitpicking"

Dun know much 'bout Elgar being varied but he was in dodgy circumstances and a bit pompous! Still we live in hope for some glory.

No. 'Pedant's delight' would be a delight for one pedant; this is a delight for all of us. As in 'Pedants Rejoice'

    OK,
so the guy can't spell but assuming the case is a genuine gun slip and so far, no-one has bid on it, £12 seems a reasonable price for a camo slip.

    Yes/no????

Wouldn't that then become "Pedants' Rejoice"? (It's been a long time since I did English Language at school.....)

The apostrophe represents a missing/silent letter does it not?
In this case I think it would be superfluous..

As for the quality of the bag, he does state it is hand made, but no mention of by who...
