BSA Lyra se multi shot zero problem

Hi everyone need some help , my friend has an ultra se multi shot and he can't zero it past 15 yards, 15 yards and he can zero it but after that it goes dramatically left right up down he can't zero it at all . Looked at the magazine and there seems to be a bit of rubber or metal that retains the pellet until the probe loads it then allows it to rotate for the next shot maybe this piece of metal or rubber is damaging the pellets ? Anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to overcome it ?

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like it could be the scope that's faulty.

hi , could be a number of things also if not the scope, without the mag in slide the bolt in and out to see if the bolt is parallel to the bore so the pellets are shoved in square, try manualy putting a pellet in yourself and test for zero/grouping, with a few brands of pellets . has it got a silencer on ? if so take it off and try that, if you have a chrono test for irratic readings, if the gun is under warranty send it back with youre findings, thats for a start hope it helps atb...

As gc93 said. Not being funny, but you are pushing the mag catch pin back each time? A guy at the club had the same problem, and that was it..!

possibly a burr on the transfer port

Burred ports can shave lead or scar it or change the shape of a pellet. A loose barrel or probe/bolt misalignment can also damage the pellet. If all that is good, try different pellets, but first, rule out the scope.
