    Oaks Open Sights League - early warning!

    We are running our open sights competition again this year starting on 5th April.

    This is open to all rifles and pistols fitted with open sights
    Peep sights are allowed on vintage and classic so long as they are original to the rifle, Modern and PCP can have notch or peep sights, pistol will be open sights only.
    Five classes:
    1. VINTAGE (Spring / pump) -PRE 1956
    2. CLASSIC (Spring / pump) -PRE 1986
    3. MODERN (Spring / pump)
    4. PCP
    5. PISTOL


    15 TARGETS FULL SIZE KILLS, MINIMUM 8 YARDS MAXIMUM 30 YARDS, NO TARGETS WILL BE OBSCURED
    Rifles - each target shot standing / kneeling / prone – Max score 90
    Pistols - position of your choice (but pistol unsupported) & one shot per target

    £2 members £5 guests / visitors (covers you for both sessions)

    Start at 12 noon for first round and 2pm second round - safety briefing at 11:50 - course will close and cards must be returned by 4:00pm

    We shoot rifle only in the first session and mixed rifle or pistol in the second session (you get two goes that way!)

    Just dig out your old springer (or what ever has, or can have open sights) and come along and have a go!

    Dates will be (all Saturdays)

    5th April
    24th May
    14th June
    5th July
    30th August
    4th October

    Best 4 scores in each category count and points make prizes!

    You have four weeks to prepare - what will you use???

    This has got to be done. Not had a go yet but it is in me waters. How old is a MK6 Airsporter?

    Well...... I was in North London earlier in the week and dropped into a air gun emporium just off the north circular.....

    You know, a Prosport with dioptre sights does look pretty!

    Just hope it works!
