    Looks well made and prewar European? I haven’t seen it before? No markings

    Steve, did you snag that rascal? I was tempted but didn't think I could make the rust disappear. To me it looks Belgian or French with the fancy trigger guard, checkered straight-hand stock, and swoopy rear cap. Neato gun!

    No I should have given the price but like you it needed a little too much help and had no idea what I was looking at. And not sure I could sneak another rifle pass my wife!

    Actually fasinating that no one knows this rifle. Now I really wish I had picked it up to examine it. It was only $50.
