    Best target rifle

    Hi All,
I am the only one at my club who bench rest shoots at paper targets up to 60 yards distance, i shoot mpr and wolf in 1.77 and achieve very good groups with them but would like to get better. So my question is are there better rifles out there. Tried a ev2 mark 3 this morning with all the bells and whistles fitted but not as good as my mpr. would appreciate members input on this thread.

RAW TM1000 would be my next choice, you already have two great guns.
    All the best

A well performing MPR is probably going to be as good as any! I would think it would more hinge on the pellets. I would be tempted to stick with the MPR and increase it's weight. Unless that takes you into a different class of course!

What sort of groups are you getting?

Do you have several wind flags on your range?

I am interested because I shoot HFT but want to do some distance stuff. I have 50 yds and 100 yds at the club.

My s400 is sensitive to where I place the front bean bag, is your MPR?

I was out at my local range this morning, shooting off a front rest at 70mts.

I was using my HW100S, and my Airwolf. Both rifles were consistently putting in less than 1" groups. I think any variation was more down to my shooting rather than the rifles ( I was shooting between heartbeats on 32x mag)

There was no wind at all, but I don't think you would do much better than that will any air rifle, unless shooting off a full bench rest.
Is there such a thing as owning too many guns?

    Hi All,
Best group 3/4 inch at 60 yards with no wind (mpr), wolf at same range slightly more.
    Yes flags at several distances.
I use a metal front rest, this makes no difference to my mpr wherever i rest it.
    Regards David j.
