    Calling Benjamin eb/crosman e9a owners

Hi all, I have a problem with my e9a and it is that the loading bolt lug screw sheared off this morning and the bolt was rotating by itself upon firing.
I noticed there should be a small spring but this was missing when I got it as the bolt did not lock in place hence it believe this was causing the bolt to rotate upon firing, would I be correct on this?

There should be a small spring ( the bolt spring) which sits in a blind hole in the bolt, yes.

    I've got 3....

.177, .20 and .22...not ONE of them has the spring mentioned!

    They all work perfectly

    Go figure!

    Cheers.

    And out of stock!
    Annoying.
If you get a new lug will it work without the spring?
    Post above indicates it should.

Ok here was the problem, the threaded hole and head recess in the loading bolt was out of line hence the lug bolt was under pressure hence it snapped off.
Grinding away the interfering area of the hole recess allowed the new lug bolt to fit into the recess correctly.

My e9a is now correctly and shooting much more accurately with umarex mozzies.

I would also like to thank A.S.I. For their assistance however if you own an eb17 or a e9a in .177 you will need to order a replacement loading bolt from J.G.airguns in America but I reckon getting a custom made bolt would be easier.

    So spring necessary or not?

JG have everything but their postage costs ridiculous.
A kind USA forum member bought a mainspring from them and posted it to me.
    Saved a lot of Dollars!
