    Colt Government 1911 A1 NICKEL

I have done a search on here, basically to know more about them.... but would really like to know if these are still available.... and if not can anyone tell me why they were finished with... they look so cool I want one.

I should have added it is the Umarex (made in Germany) version ... all metal.

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers

    Stuart

They stopped making them in nickel.
    No idea why.

As these pistols are made of a kind of Mazak or Zamak 5 or Zamak 7 they really do not need plating in any other metal. Mazak is an alloy of mainly Zinc plus Aluminium and Magnesium and gives a very shiny finish if polished and not painted after casting. You can turn a black Umarex 1911 into a shiny silver one quite easily.

All the time mate, they're always for sale on one or more of the many second hand air pistol sales sites.

Not sure if they discontinued them I was looking to get the exact same pistol, however I settled on a walther cp88 competition 6inch nickle with wooden grips. Try looking at those, similar looking n actions

There are loads about for sale when you are not looking for one is probably more to the point.

I have hardly seen any since I started collecting them.

I bought a new one when I heard they were stopping making them.
    Smug face.

    I like the Nickel one.
After all they are not an exact replica of the 1911 so go for bling.
Odd that they never made the Colt in the limited ppc model which is a great finish.

Yes it would have been nice to have a PPC one.

I bought a Nickel one myself last week, being a bit curious yesterday I decided to completely strip it.

Compared to a Crosman there are an awful lot of parts, and there is certainly a method of reassembly, that I ain't quite figured yet.

Well I paid, £140 delivered for this one. A 1997 Goverment model in A1 condition. I have seen black Goverment ones going for around the same price £140/150.
