Thread: Never leave a field alone!

Exclamation Never leave a field alone!

    Guys,

I hit one particular field hard early last year and pretty well eradicated the rabbits. Subsequent trips proved unrewarding, so I left the field alone from about mid July.

Tonight was my fist visit since then. Have a look:

Well what else is there to do in a cold winter that far north
If I miss with the air rifle then there's always the shotgun as backup or now perhaps the .22 rimfire

That's a whole lot of Bunnies! Is there a lot of sandy links ground around their?

I know of an estate near Glen Esk that shot over 5000 Rabbits in a year back in the early 90's.

The trouble is that there are 1000’s more in the same area. That pic just covers an area of about ¾ acre!

I shot well over ten thousand on one estate last year near Dunkeld. I've shot around three thousand so far this year (been a bit lazy!).

Kevin, you're spending too much time fannying around with the sako trigger and taking photos You clearly need to get out more. God help you when you start reloading!

There's a shoot on at Monifieth next weekend if you're interested. I won't be going but you'd be welcome.

Nope, some weeks I never went out at all

Got 250 in an afternoon last week, 350 over the weekend

Only got about 80 last night.

I got them beat this year at last. Now I can start on Lundin Links Golf course. Where are you in Fife?

Thanks for the offer, but I’d better be putting in some time on the hill.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.
