Theoben Taunus trigger - a simple improvement?

I quite like the triggers fitted to these models (and some others), even though some may say they are a little agricultural. However, the vast amount of sideways movement in the sear can lead to an unpredictable let-off. I've cured this simply by bonding a couple of pieces of 2mm acetal to each side of the sear, which has the effect of keeping the sear central in the trigger assembly whilst leaving sufficient clearance at each side for the mechanism to operate smoothly.

    Anyone else tried something similar?

Nice one, Swedey. Mine is also "well-polished" but I might now reduce the spring tension a little too.

Yeah, come on over Rhys - I've got the material and the appropriate glue and primer for the job. It's not a long job and it would be good to use the adhesive it before it "goes off" in the tube. Plus, I could try and convince you that .20 is the way forward
