Had a look at your stock today, wish I'd looked on Sunday as I'd have batted you about the head with it.

Got the old Nitromors, wax stripper then paint stripper out and spent an hour on the butt end trying to shift the 129 coats of god knows what but gave up in the end after developing 17 blisters on my fingers, so I decided to take some drastic action and got the blow torch out. Sadly it didn't pan out as I'd have hoped; lookie here. Sorry m8.

Seriously though, I didn't put a blow torch too it, the friction alone was enough to ignite all the crap on it.

No, no, no, only joking...after 4 hrs of sanding I've finally got most of the crap off, another several hours should see it ready for oiling.
