    Introduction

Hello and thanks for the acceptance to the site.

I have a new found interest in airguns, more on the collecting side now rather than hunting, although if and when the opportunity arises I will hunt too.
I have always been into airguns ever since being a kid but over the last 20 years deerstalking has taken over.
My main interest in airguns are good old BSAs. I have 2 mk2 airsporter, a mk1 airsporter S, Mercury Challenger, and S also a Theoben Eliminater, .270 tikka and Beretta 686 o/u.
My aim is to collect all of the airsporter MKs plus am looking out for a Stutzen if anyone knows of one for sale.
I just enjoy owning and restoring them with my mate.
    Well that's enough about me.
    Cheers.

    Hello and welcome to forum.

There's not much you might want to know that can't be found on this excellent and informative site.

I'm really glad you have discovered an interest in air gun collecting and you won't go far wrong with the BSA Airsporter as a starting point, but be aware this business can become addictive.

    Regards

    Brian

Hi and welcome to the BBS, and the collectors part, by far the best part of it.

Welcome to collectors corner, Airsporters feature a lot on here, like you I wanted a full set of Sporters, I've managed eleven so far. Look on Knibbs webb site, according to them there are thirty odd of them, if you get all of them (Airsporters that is) then good luck to you.

There are some keen Airsporter specialists in Sheffield and district, you will be kept well informed.

    Enjoy this forum.

Go on to Knibbs site and click on "whats my BSA" and count the different variations. I'd love em all but I think it is impossible to get all of them though Johnbaz aka golden b***s may have them

The 'Airsporter' was the rifle I always wanted, but couldn't afford when I was boy back in fifties. I made do with a Cadet Major which wasn't all that bad since this is also an excellent rifle and probably more suited to my age at the time.

Obviously, one of the first air rifles I acquired when I got into collecting was a Mk1 'Airsporter' so that I could see first hand what I had missed out on all those years ago. It certainly didn't disappoint and has since been joined by another 'Cadet Major' and a Webley Mk3 which was the main competition for the Airsporter back in the 50s & 60s.

Although I mainly concentrate on spring air pistols these days, I do also have a few pre-WW1 BSA Improved Mod air rifles which remain my favourite from the early range of BSA products.

    Regards
