    Which pellets for GISS guns.

What pellets do people use. I have a diana 6g and 10m pistols plus a mod 66 rifle. been using RWS superdome and r10,s. Anyone tried anything else that would suit the GISS system ? I compete but would not want to sacrifice accuracy for cheapness.

Do a search for zooma's pellet thread re 4.49 or 4.50.... its an interesting read and off the back of it I've just gone out and bought 3 tins of RWS Gecos .... if I'm feeling flush on pay day I may buy a tin of R10s

When the Giss system air pistols were current the pellet of choice was always the RWS Meisterkugeln.

During the late 70's and early 80's when I was competing with air pistol the Meisterkugeln pellets worked the best in the Original and Feinwerkbau air pistols and in my own collection of these types I still find they give the tightest groups.

I first started target shooting at a club with an Original Model 6 and later bought an Original Model 10 when they first came out. This was followed by a FWB Model 65 and finally a Model 80 and in every case the Meisterkugeln pellets grouped the best.

Alternatives available at the time included Eley Match, RWS Hobby and H&N Match and I tried them all - not just a few pellets but several tins of each over the time period and the Meisterkugeln was always the most reliable.

We never had the bewildering choice of pellet size either - they were all 4.50 !

Now it is possible to buy the RWS Meisterkugeln in 4.49 and 4.50 and also in rifle weight too - but for air pistols such as the Original and FWB springers the pellets from the same time period was the standard Meisterkugeln 4.50 and it is still a very solid choice that works as well or better then anything else
