    There is no way

I can fire my air pistol at home.
But I think I could get some good practice in with this system.

Anyone out there got any experience of the IQ system?

I think that's the system they used at the Olympics for the pentathlon, never seen one in the flesh, and I would imagine they are very expensive, have you tried a Scatt or Noptel ?

    Scatt

Not tried either the Scatt or Noptel.

Understand that the bolt on laser is about £400. Found a bit of info on YouTube. Also looks like it can work down to 2 mtrs.
Would need the target and my laptop or maybe iPad? Plus software.

They are used in modern pentathlon.

Still need more info and prices.
Quite like the idea of a dedicated pistol for training. The unit can fit on a LP10/50 or a Morini 162ei. Or you can buy a dedicated pistol.

Don't want a load of leads attached for special £350 trigger and sensor that the scatt needs.

and you would need the target, probably the same again.

Fine if you want to shoot under UIPM Rules

Why not train with the pistol you intend to use?

You do not need a special trigger, in fact hardly anyone uses that particular optional piece of equipment. Only one lead from barrel sensor to laptop, or you could buy the wireless version of SCATT.

Secondhand USB SCATTs are around for about £500.

Finally, SCATT, Noptel et al provide a great deal more information that the laser equipment that you have indicated. If your going to spend money then get the most for it.

    Save yourself some money!!

Training should be technique centred, not score based, save yourself some money and just dry fire!

If the powers that be get their way, we will all be using laser target stuff - and the world will be so much more healthy and safe...
