    Muzzle thread - SFS Imp.

I recently had a look at the threaded muzzle on a SFS Imp. The thread didnt look like that typically cut on a lathe, it had the appearance of being cut with a die. The threads were not very well defined, and the mod was quite tight. Is it possible to die cut, I would imagine it would be difficult to keep it straight.

Needs to be screwcut in a lathe, really. I had a rifle some years ago that a previous owner had tried to thread with a die, and it wasn't central or true. I had the bad thread machined off, a short steel sleeve turned up that was an interference fit to go over the exposed end, and a fresh thread cut in the lathe.
