    webley service mk2 question and valuation

    hi ,
    could anyone tell me where the number is located that should match the barrel and a ball park figure for a service in what i would describe as "good" condition slight browning full working order with a .177 barrel

    Serial numbers to rear of trigger guard on action and near keyway on barrel.

    thanks for the help it seems the numbers don't match but the rifle is in good nick ..rifle is s5581 barrel 1781

    With the se/no that low it makes the barrel a 2nd patt, of which there was only about 1000, made.

    With a miss matched Service with a 2nd patt barrel it should still be worth £300 at least hope this helps.
