    Try this

    or you could try

might be worth looking on amazon or abe books for secondhand copies. i certainly would't pay £350 for a copy.

well the cheaper version has a couple of repeat pages, so less expensive and BOGOF for couple of pages.

The monstrously expensive £350 edition is the first edition. The other one is the newer edition and contains everything in the first plus some new data. Personally I think the first is a better book, but get the cheaper one as it is more up to date. There is also this somewhat less omnstrously expensive book which does cover earlier BSAs too http://www.airgunspares.com/store/search.asp

Hi, as above really. The earlier book is nicer IMHO quality wise but you will struggle to get one for under £70-100+ as they do pop up on auction sites as this seems to be the going rate.

Abe and other sites can be great, I have got a Knibbs book and another early gun book for under £20 from France of all places where the seller presumably had done no research value wise

The later £49 book is essentially an updated version of the first book, and in your position I would go for this as all the essential info is in there, and you may wait for months (or years!) to get an earlier book at even this price..This later book will no doubt go up in price as the years pass, so although not an investment to retire on, I suspect you will not lose money if you hang on to it.
