vintage docter scope?

Mate of mine has asked me to help him sell his ruger, he has a scope on it he bought in the eighties, it's a 3-9x56 he says it was called a dawn to dusk, it has a white owl on it, the scope is gloss finished, it's in good nick.
Anyone tell me anything about these and a rough guide price please? Oh and it's a thirty/ thirty reticle.

That should be good german glass. On the unmentionable auction site it would make over £150.00 if it was in good order and quite likely a bit more.
