Ripley Elite X2, valuation guide please...

Hey up all


My mate has a couple of Gorgeous Ripley Elites that he's considering selling as he's too many guns for the space!!


Both have only been test fired in the shop and are completely unmarked in any way..

Both come with MTC Mamba 4-16x50 IRS and Hogan Decimeater silencers..
Can anyone give an idea of how much he should be offering them for please??

I'll pop some pics up shortly, I presume it will be OK to ask in this, the gentlemans corner as they are no longer in production (at least I don't think they are!!)

These are waaaay to nice to begiven away gratis though thelad gave me a fantastic sliding mitre saw for helping him to move on some of his beautify wine racks ( 97s & 100s )

Well as Wighill Park Guns are still advertising new, unused Ripley Elites for £499 (sporter stock) & £559 (Thumbhole stock) then that offers a starting point. Your mate's rifles can't be sold as new, so presumably as used their value would be about 2/3 of new. However, you then need to add the value of the scope and moderator.

However, the bottom line is going to be whatever someone is prepared to pay.

The guns themselves appear to have attracted a bad press at times, although as a current owner of a Ripley Elite I cannot sing its praises high enough for its looks, handling and accuracy. I can add that in 4 years of ownership it has been totally reliable and shoots at 11.5lbs consistently.

I spoke to him today and he's had a change of mind!!

Says he can't bear to part with them!! Can't say I blame him as they really are beutiful guns
