I want one but don't own one-yet. I have a lot of experience with Nikon optics from way back. They are seriously good well made items-so they should be at the price asked. I suspect that they will come down quite a bit in the coming months so we should both WAIT!!!

    Hi Nick

Will be getting one on Monday, let you know how it goes !!

Waiting is a luxury as its the EXTRA wabbits that pay for these
got to keep my butcher happy.

    Best regards Nick

I'm seriously tempted, but I'm put off by the fact that it only parallaxes down to about 50 yards. Give it a closer focus and the option of a mildot reticle and I would get one tomorrow.

    Hi Lionel

Buy from here and get the choice of mildot etc .....
Yes I agree about the 50yd but that is around my distance for shooting anyway .... I know the link says 6-20x44 but open it to find other.

    Best Regards

    Nikon

    Hello there:

I recently purchased the Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14X40 with side focus and put it on a Rapid

    Great glass BUT:

    * focus is hard on short distances - have to bring the power all the way down for 15-20 yard focus (perfect on 35 to 70 yards on 14x and great on the mildots)

    * can't focus under 15 yards

    * Per nikon support - not intended for short distances.

I used to have a Bushnell Fullfield 2 which focused down to 50 yards. Great optics but I found it difficult to get a clear picture at short ranges.

    Thumbs up

    Hi ESA

Just been looking at money I save by buying from States so now looking at

    http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-...fle-scope.html

Seems to be costing me as much a Nikon over here in U.K so might as well go for it.

Thanks for all comments, good forum this, always been helpful to myself.
We all strive for that perfect shot ...

Best Regards and GOOD HUNTING all.
