    Unhappy Cci caps

    Opened the first of two boxes of Cci no 10 percussion caps...... All duds

    That is very unusual. In all my years of reloading centrefire, shotgun and shooting BP guns I have never seen a cap/primer without any priming compound.

    Have these been bought in error?
    Some sites sell caps/primers without priming for display or re-enacment, if not, I hope you are going to return them to the supplier.

    Strange. I use CCI #10 , 11 and small pistol and can't remember ever having any problems.

    Same with me - I've used CCI 10s and 11s for 20 odd years - never had a bad one ?

    Did you confirm they had no compound, or was it an assumption because they failed to go off ?

    The reason I mention it is that I had an issue with caps but found it was a tiny bit of cap in the lockwork that just impeded the hammer enough to hit but not detonate the caps. That was a fun one to find !

    No, completely devoid of any compound, empty caps guess they forgot to fill the hopper at the factory Open the tins and check them before leaving the shop
